Does anyone have recommendations on a lubricant for the gate hinge? My stern gate takes a lot more effort to pick up to open when compared to my other two gates. I am wondering if anyone else has had this issue and if a lubricant was the answer. Open to any other suggestions. Thanks!

I used "gun" oil on several squeaky parts of our double Bimini when we first got it 4 yrs ago. Haven't heard it since.....

I put pure silicone spray on mine. Dries dry and will not attract dust.
Be careful what you buy, most Si sprays are combined with light oil. Look for pure Si only, spray not grease.

Marine zipper lube. No stain but it is a grease. I like the silicone spray idea.

I use the silicone spray on my hinges, works well but have a rag to wipe off the over spray.

Thanks all!

Does anyone have a link to a certain product? I found a couple on Amazon as below. The 3M doesn't appear to have a red straw but says specifically that it does not contain oil. Not sure about the WD-40 product.

The second one "contains no petroleum lubricants" is the one you want.
