I have a 2022 Bennington with the raised helm riser (about 2 inches high) and want to replace the pedistal on my seat. It just sits too low and I want to raise the seat. Do I need to worry about nuts on the back of the pedistal bolts? Or are the fixed in place?
Has anyone replaced the drivers seat pedistal?

Switching to a height adjustable pedestal is a great move. I’ve wanted to do it for awhile myself. There are nuts on the bottom. Having a waveshield on my boat is what has kept me from messing with this job. Without a waveshield, it should be super easy. With it, I have seen some on here report about still doing it. They have removed the side rail cover (not the name, just drawing blanks this morning mentally…lol). Then with a long ratchet or wrench, went in from the side. Do a search up above and see if you can find any of those posts. Perhaps a couple of those DIYers in here can chime in more helpfully than I right now. Doable either way. Just a bit more of a PITA potentially if you have a waveshield.

You will not have to worry about loose nuts on the bottom of the raised console floor if you know how to raise the console if needed. First figure that before you loosen the bolts. If the nuts are fixed on the bottom all the better. I replaced my seat post with a taller post that was mounted on the standard floor. A wrench on the nut below the floor was required. I added a foot rest to complement the taller seat. The foot rest was just a shower grab bar (see photo). It is very comfortable.
