A friend of mine that lives on Crooked River about 9 miles from me ( Marina is 8 ) just asked me if I would like to rent 1 of the 3 spots in his covered boat house .

It would be about half of what the marina charges .

Problem is I dont know how high mine sits .

Where would I get the best measurement ?

Water line to the tow point on the arch ?

Or should I just take the entire measurement ?

Water level does vary during the season as the Crooked River is part of the Inland Waterway .

Thanks

I would go water line on an unloaded boat up to the highest point on the arch. You'll want to leave some extra space for wave action as well.

Just to be extra safe, I'd do bottom of tube to deck, then deck to top of tow point, add them together (easier than trying to get total height all at once)  maybe add a little for safety sake and see how much wiggle room is left.

Thanks ,

I can walk under without ducking , I am 6'5" add another foot to the tow point .From the bottom of the toon to the deck at least 4' .

I dont think it will fit .

I'm 6'5" as well and naturally look down on people...I meant to say at people. I guess it doesn't sound good either way!! It can be a pain finding cloths that fit, getting into cars, hugging short grandmothers etc.

LOL

6'5" may be more common than I realize

Now I really feel short (lol) at 5'8"

Ofcourse in my days the platform shoes were the thing

Do you remember when ??

Mine were never this high but you get the idea (lol)

I definitely would like to get the pontoon boat lift with cover here

Would save me from covering the boat 2 - 3 times daily
