Help!!! Major Cavitation Issues

Yes, lifting strakes and elliptical pontoons.[/QUOTE.
Go over to band of boaters message board and leave a detalied message including performance numbers and when you experience trouble (i.e. Load and rpm) and Ken in the performance section should be able to give guidance. You'll also need to know your current prop. If a prop problem, he's your most likely solution.

Do the eliptical boats run a 20” shaft? I wonder if they are getting so high on plane you can really over trim them.

Both boats have Yamaha engines. I have the Merc 150 and have no problems. I have had 10 people fishing and never had that happen. The elliptical boats are a 20" transom, is it possible the Yamaha are the 25" shafts.

Is there anything disrupting the water flow in front of the prop?

I had a short shaft on my 250 SHO with ESP... Yes that sounds odd when I say it out loud in the office.

Try to find out the brand and model of prop that you have.
The Merc Enertia prop is made for pontoons and may help.
I know it fixed my problem with cavitation

We took the boat out this past weekend and it performed great. 4 people and it cruised at 35
mph.
The prop currently on it is a 15" x 15p stainless, mildly cupped. The prop that came with the boat is 14.5" x 15p.
