We did not get a tow bar when we ordered our Bennington a couple years ago now the marina says we cannot get one installed. Is that true? Our boat is only two years old.

You can add a Turbo Swing .
Do a search in the upper right corner, there are other post related to it

Just curious - does the Turvo Swing keep the rope out of the water? I had a low connection point on a past runabout boat and the rope would bounce in the water depending on waves, speed, and turns, splashing the kids in the face. My last Bennington had the tow post and worked great given the higher attachment connection.

Cheapa$$ bf that said we prob would not use it that much, and could get it later if we wanted. So another $300 on a $32k boat.... and then EBF12EAC-4421-4858-9344-6384DAAFF92B.jpegkids moved back in the area. We went from zero grandkids to four ages 2 to 10 in two years and they love it. but too tricky to attach without the tow bar.

If you get the turbo swing, make sure when the motor is turned all the way to the right and left. It does not hit the cowling on the motor.

Good heads up for people.

There is no way the cowling is going to hit a Turbo swing IF one buys the right size Turbo swing for the size motor they have. They make different size Turbo swings to accommodate difference size cowlings. So if someone is buying one, look at recommended size for your motor.

I tow with the lifting eyes at the rear of the boat, located in the transom well area. Not ideal but gets the job done. Buyer beware, this may or may not be safe practice!

Bennington previously posted that using the eyes is not recommended .
Im looking for that post , but it may have been lost in a forum update .

I think I heard or read that as well. It's definitely not the intended purpose but structurally I figure if it can bear the weight of half the boat it can tow a few kids. But as noted probably not recommended.

I installed a TurboSwing on my 23Q at my shop. Very easy and works great. If you want rope out of the water then you need a Tow Bobber which is easy too

I see no reason why you can't get the aftermarket or the bolt-on version from Bennington (check with your dealer). However, the issue may be that the bolt-on versions don't have the capacity for towing tubes.

Sometimes the option of a tow bar goes away when a certain size engine is selected due to engine physical size and potential contact at certain trim/tilt angles.

That is why the Turbo Swing is so good. Select the right size, not structural changes to the boat to install and installs on a very storn part on the boats stern. And no interference when adjusted properly. No I do not work nor endorse them :-)
