How tight should a Bimini top be?

Hello all,
I’m new to the forum but have owned Bennington pontoons for twenty years. Recently purchased a new 2024 QXSBWA 25 ft. I have had the Bimini top replaced under warranty because the zipper separated, lost a few teeth and wouldn’t stay together. The new top fits like it’s supposed to but still a lot of stress on the zipper. I am putting rear pole tab in the lowest hole I can and it is a struggle to get it in that hole. This puts the top super tight. Wondering if the pole mounts might be in the wrong location. Does the dealer install these or does factory. The frame of the top has rivets at the location where they come together so no adjustments there.
I have contacted the dealer I purchased from but yet to hear back from them.
Thanks
Chris

I have a double bimini, no poles. Using the cable stays and adjusting each of the frame supports - I attempt to get the top nice and tight for WOP and Monsoons. I am confused about Poles - noting a zipper suggests you also have a double Bimini. I think we need more details, pictures.

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I have a clad arch and the top zips onto the arch. I have pictures I can post.

Unfortunately I can’t help with your question, but what a beautiful pontoon!
