In case of an emergency these are great to have. I'm a runner, but not affiliated with this company, but I do wear their product. These are good to have while running, hiking, boating, or even just for everyday wear. If you had a medical emergency on the water, can they quickly verify your medical history or allergies? I'm passing along a coupon code for $5 off for the first five people that go there, and most times when you go to their page, you get a free shipping code. If it doesn't work, sorry, but the $20 bucks I paid for mine is worth it. At 50 years old running 5K's, I need to make sure ER's know my medical needs ....  :p

This is one of those simple things that could save yours, or someone else's life.

I use the app "Ice Standard". I'm a cyclist, so it's a great idea to have identification readily available if/when it's needed.

This app puts your emergency information on the home screen of your phone if/when the home button is pushed. No one can access your phone any more than they can now, but if they push a button, they will see your emergency contacts/phone numbers, allergies, blood type, etc.

This is great whether you are a runner, cyclist, or just may have some health issues that would be better handled if you had your critical information available.

Here is a google image of someone's......

Oh, and it's free!

I have 2 of the road IDs.  I opted for the slim version after our last address change.  I wear it daily still, even though I am not riding as much.

The phone thing is good too (I use it as well), but there is the chance for the phone to be damaged or launch from a jersey pocket if the unforeseen occurs.
