Hi
We're buying a new Bennington and trying to work out the benefits of the Integrated Steering package. Our dealer doesn't have any information so I'm hoping someone here can help.
My research indicates:
- the Yamaha motor has electric actuators built onto the motor to do the steering
- this gets rid of the need for the hydraulic pump and other power steering equipment as part of the boat
Please let me know.
Thanks
David

Here is the number for Yamaha,18668941626 They should be able to help.

I've got all the info from Yamaha but what I can't yet get is what Bennington will actually use as their boat configuration says they still fit the hydraulic Seastar pump which wouldn't get used by the Yamaha motor as it has electric steering actuators.
Kind regards
David

You can also call Bennington, 888 906 2628. Hopefully they will have what you need.

I went through the same type of issue with my Verado .

I have it on a 300. It is silky smooth. It offers variable steering based on rpm. I have it set below 1200 rpm, more response, ie less turns from lock to lock. Between 1200 and 2700 a little less response and above 2700 the least. I love that feature. It also can show where the rudder is numerically 0 is center and negative numbers are left and positive is right.
