New Bennington owner (2025 MSB 22) here. Curious to see club pictures for boat decorating ideas like Bunting for the 4th of July.

Thanks,
John

We clipped a small inverter to one of our batteries (the other ran the boat) and ran LED lights plus a few blow ups with no issues. The "screen" led's did a good job of covering the Benny with minimal work, the blow ups were fun - used water fill bags to hold down on the boat, the tarp mounted one required a series of straps that were a bit more complicated to get right. We had one set of lights come loose and dip into the water - they just kept working with no issues (not recommended, but FYI).

we did something similar last year for christmas in July...

a note:
  • watch your battery, it can drain fast if you shut down the motor (alternator)
  • get a pure sine wave inverter... LED lights will generally flicker a lot with a cheaper inverter
