Kicker KMC1 upgrade

Yes, that's a given, as well as a running a wire to turn on the amp from the head unit when the head units powered on. Sounds like the way its wired currently is to maintains a 4-ohms resistance across the speakers. Fronts being wired differently because someone was lazy but not an issue. to add a amp and get the full 65 watt out of the 6.5" speakers.

At least on my 2021 r23 the interior 4 speakers were all ran to under the helm, then 2 speakers were spliced together for each channel. Which would drop it down to 2ohm. The swing back speakers were each ran to their own channel on the head unit. Even on my buddies boat with the 10k roswell upgrade the speakers were still spliced together under the helm before landing on the roswell amp

Wiring - I am two months in researching this topic related to installing an amp and subwoofer on my 2021 6 speaker stock system, from my PMX-2, a 4 channel head unit. I have received only one reply that suggested the center and rear speakers were run parallel, the front speakers run direct. I would think the 4 interior would have been parallel, with the rear direct - but have not found anyone to confirm. Plus, always best to simply verify on my own using the fader (have not gotten back to my Benny since starting this project). Interestingly, my current working understanding is I can use the 2 RCA channels from the head unit for one amp, and then use the Rear Speaker wires bridged to run a second amp for the sub. The amp has to accept HO (high output) signals - seems most do, at least the ones I am looking at. Still more to review, verify with the installer, then re-confirm with tech support to confirm - once I am read to buy, LOL - what I thought was going to be easy, not so much.
