Friendly reminder to make sure bimini arms are locked before towning

picked up boat from dealer. Asked if front Bimini could be towed in upright stowed position. They assured me it was ok to do. 1 mile down the road, it flew off.

Apparently, there is a lock on the front ball joint that the dealer didn’t lock. I wasn’t aware of it to check. Hopefully they help cover cost of new one. Frame is scratched but good. Bimini has some good road rash.

OMG. That stinks. They should cover that. They set the boat up for you to trailer. I always trailer my Bimini top in the lowest position (shortest leg levels).
I would hope they make it right. Good luck!
