Lilipad Easy-Step Ladder ?s

I just bought my first pontoon, 2024 Bennington 20svsr-sps. The dealership said a Lilipad Easy-Step Ladder cannot be mounted to replace the existing boarding ladder. Does anyone know if there is a way to alter the installation to make it work? I've contacted Lilipad regarding this but haven't heard back. Thanks for any replies.
 
Did you call or email lillipad ? I got no response from an email, but they were very helpful when I called .
 
I'm thinking about this , how much space is there on your stern between the fence and the edge of the deck?
 
I dont believe thats enough . The ladders mounting base is 13 from edge of the deck to the end of the hand rails . That leaves only 4 inches. Amazon has a similar one that might have a smaller footprint. I dont know the dimensions. Check Amazon for the dimensions. If you search for lillipad it comes up .
 
Thank you. I think you're talking about the Lippert SureStep ladder. I see they offer a SureStep Free-Fit option that might work. I'll try doing some more research.

Do you think it would be possible just to angle the left grip bar toward the motor as I have a center gate? That way a person/dog would have more room to enter the gate. I will call both Lilipad and Lippert to see if the short deck is the problem or if there might be construction issues too.

17" - it should fit, but then you need to modify the interior handle so there is enough room to step through!?

Thanks for all the replies. Lilipad was quick to contact me via email. Unfortunately, the inside handle cannot be modified. The ladder can be installed but will only leave 4" between the handles and wall. Therefore, we would have to step over the handle. I'm still thinking about how awkward that would be for us and a dog before making a decision. My worry would be someone tripping while stepping over.
 
Removing one handle would be the perfect solution, unfortunately, that's not possible. The handle is 19" tall that would require stepping over. Still debating on what to do. Thanks for all the help and suggestions.
