Lock it up

IIRC the compartment door in front of the helm is lockable on some models.  Have to check my new 2014 2375 RL.  Pretty sure my previous South Bay had a lockable door.  Could install a lock on either the rear or the floor storage compartment.

Yes, I actually was able to get the dealer to install it for me upon delivery. Its great to be able to leave skis , etc in the storage securely. doesn't look like it was too big of  a deal.

What'd be nice to lock up is all those high line sound systems with power boosters and expensive speakers.

Last time I saw my Bennington's Sony head unit at Best Buys on sale, it was $59.  I don't have to worry about thefts.

What kind of lock did they put on? I'd like to add a lock to my in floor storage as well but I'm not sure what would be best to use. Has anyone else added a lock to it?

What lock were you able to use for the ski locker/in-floor storage?

Thank you!

If they want to take it..........They'll take it! Don't leave any valuables on the boat!

The problem with most locks is that they only keep honest people honest.

True, and those are the ones I want to "help" keep honest. :)

I really miss the days when you pull up to the dock and could run in for a drink or bite. Without having to hide or put away all your belongings! You just didn't have to worry about it. Just remembering.

I remember growing up, we never locked our house and only the front door was able to be locked.  We would go on vacation and that was the only time the front door got locked, but the back door was not locked.  I don't remember ever having a car door locked when leaving it.

Times have indeed changed.

Right! Like my Jeep. Don't leave valuables in it. I leave everything unlocked. If it's locked, they know there's something in there that you don't want to part with. They will just tear up your boat to get into it, then you've not only lost what was in there, but now, you have the expense and time spent to get the damage repaired.

My feelings exactly. Half the time, the keys are in the ignition any ways. As far as valuables go, my wife puts those in a 31 bag that she ordered for the boat.

Yep, same here.  That was many many years ago (for me) growing up in the 50's and 60's.  Didn't have a lot of material things but didn't have to for enjoyment.
