M Series with Vessel Control

Would this location work good for the remote? Its the best spot for sure to look at and get too for operation. Then the extension cable will be run thru one of those 4 top holes back to the helm. Is it fine to drill a 3" hole in that black plate? Very little splash ever hits that spot and the radio is water resistant Rockford says.

I would be concerned, water most surely hits that area when turning sharp or when there is large chop. Why not on the similar space to the Right, behind the log.

Yes I agree with you. Yes that area to right of toon is one of my options also. Wish I could find a spot where I would even need a box at all? It sticks out 3" and looks kind of bulky to me?

Here is out 1st attempt on this and have to say it turned out even better than I thought. When you drop the ladder it is RIGHT there in front of you and so easy to use and kind of hidden when the ladder is up. It was a bear to get the cable ran from the helm to back of boat BUT we finally got it! The blue tape will be removed when the adhesive for the cable is done.

Nice updates. Keep us posted on how it works and holds up.

Will do! We will be testing this weekend and hopefully more days left in summer. The wired remote with the colored display is so so so nice for sure!

Sounds really nice!

Idea - leave it loose and simply put in on the deck when using, running it like an extension cord that pulls out from under the nearest seat!?
