Can anyone explain what the 79% number means next to battery icon? It starts out at about 100-99% when I go out on water and the number goes down throughout the day for some reason? If it should be 100% when batteries are charged when starting out the day and then go down if you are not running the engine and still using radio, inverter, etc?
So then shouldn't the number increase when I run the engine and for awhile to charge both batteries? I tried that BUT the number is not going up? And what seems strange... I take the boat home and then next day go out on water and that number starts at 100% again? I never charge the batteries at home other than in the winter when season is over.

The percentage is state of charge of the battery. The behavior you're noticing may be dependent on how your batteries are wired and if your dual battery system was factory or added by the dealership. I would think that the SOC is most likely a value based on voltage, but it could be an estimate based on draw over time for a factory sized battery. It's possible that it resets if you disconnect the batteries at the switch when the boat isn't in use.

The dealership added the second battery in mine and I was curious because I never see the display showing an up arrow indicating charge, only a down arrow with discharge rate. I located the harness by the batteries that the sensor uses. It's a triangular shaped, 3 wire, deutsch style connector. One of the wires was green and, I believe, two of the wires were wired into the distribution block by the batteries. In my case, I saw that there was a second empty connector that was probably meant for a second set of connections in a 2 battery system but the dealership never added that.

Thank you! Yes the dual battery setup was installed at dealership at the beginning. Its just strange to me and showing opposite of what I assume it is supposed to tell me?
