I recently upgraded to Windows 10 and Microsoft Edge.  I am now expieriencing problems when I copy and paste a link on the Bennington forum site.  I can do so onto a word page but not on the internet.  I have checked Control Panel Security and have the Copy & Paste option enabled.  I have searched for the answer on the onternet but have not been able to find a solution on the Edge platform.

Thought I would ask if others that are using Edge have any problems with this and if anyone can offer a solution

I asked our computer expert about upgrading to 10.  His answer was only upgrade if you get enjoyment from things not working and you are bored with Windows 7 working well every day.

I upgraded to 10 last summer ,I have had no problems. ( yet )

I do not use edge though .

Mark ,have you tried ,Google Chrome ?

I just used copy and paste with edge on the chrome download link below

Here is the  link to chrome

Yes Jack I have Chrome on computer but like Microsoft's layout better

I'll try using edge for a few days ,see if I experience any issues . ( using right now ) .

Found one issue already .Edge wont let me use those " smiley faces " from the tool bar above .

I get an error message that the site ( this one ) wont allow it .

 Same here, no smileys either

Not just a Windows/Microsoft issue. I use Mac products. I don't try to use the "smileys" much, but they never work for me on this site. I thought maybe it was because I usually am using my iPad.

Hmm. I don't think I've had that issue. Then again I think I'm using Chrome. Typical software. 20 things better, 5 things worse. I like 10's layout, but I think its design is geared towards touch screens.

Mark, can't you downgrade to 7 or 8? I thought MS gives you that option if you don't like W10. I do like they offer free upgrade to 10 from previous versions. I just bought a Intel NUC with 10 preloaded and am still learning the W10.

I would like to stay on 10 as I like the layout better and prefer Edge over Explorer 11.  Probably going to live with it and hope Microsoft comes up with a fix soon.  I have Chrome for when I need it

I use a Mac and the smileys work fine.        ;)

They work with windows ,just not edge browser
