I just picked some up along with bleach and some cleaning supplies. I didn’t want damp rid tubs bouncing around for 1200 miles in there. Hopefully it cleans up and we caught it before any damage is done. Heading back over there in a bit so we’ll see what happens.
You need ventilation in the boat during storage. Shrink wrap doesn't allow for proper air movement. Thats why the cover's in Florida have vents in the top of the cover so air can move thru the boat and avoid mildew. You could add a fan to keep the air moving and DamRid to prevent mold
Some before and after. It cleaned up good. It’s in an outdoor lot for another month so no power for a fan. I cleaned it all up and put two big damprid tubs in there. Hopefully that does the trick. We’ve had crazy temperature swings so probably condensation that never escaped.
I’m hoping it won’t be an issue now that the damprid is back in there. We had some crazy temperature swings where it dipped into the 30’s. I noticed the inside of my tonneau cover was soaked one morning so I’m sure that’s what happened in there as well. Few more weeks and it will be on a lift with the factory cover.
