I have one tweak that helps me and that is to use a Sharpie to color the rivet heads for the plastic fastener in the middle of the bow gate. In the video the method is to begin from the bimini support arm cutouts in the middle of the boat. You do need to be sure the rivets are centered in the bow gate so the bimini cutouts are positioned correctly.
Starting at the bow gate works better for me. Of course you can mark the rivet heads anywhere you want to start.
