I have a 2020 23RSR. We rarely have the bimini up. When it is in the down position, you can't sit in the rear seats because the upper bow lays about 4-6" in front of the seat back. Has anyone tried to "slide" the top rearward, by moving the mounts? Or, have tried anything else.....or, am I the only one? ;)

We never use ours, it's only been opened once. It stays in the up position .

You want it in what they call the “radar position” when not in use. That will put it above the heads of those seating and allow movement.

Got pics?!?

My bimini is down so that the boat tucks under the boat lift canopy. So there would be a lot of up and downs and trying to avoid that.

I can appreciate that. It’s a pick your poison: luxury of lift & canopy and deal with it obstructing movement and seating, OR luxury of lift & canopy and mess with adjusting bimini into radar position to free up movement and seating and putting it back down when docking. Not many options to avoid it. A facet of pontooning.

When we originally bought our Bennington we were also getting a lift & canopy as well. As a result we ordered our Bennington with the curved power bimini so as to be able to raise and lower it from down to radar to deployed with a push of a button. Great decision! Really one of our favorite convenience options.

Ironically, after a few years we sold off the lift and canopy and went with Sea Legs instead to keep the boat out of the water and have other flexibility with water levels and sand bars. This switch allows us to just keep ours in the radar position all the time now unless we decide to deploy it. So in theory we don’t have the same “need” for the power bimini, but still absolutely LOVE its convenience.

I’m not sure, but maybe this makes me a lazy pontooner…lol. But I love lazy pontooning!!!

I have the same problem. I moved mine back. I am currently looking for a longer back support bar. I also had to extend the wiring for the white light. I love the extra room i got, If anyone knows where I can buy one let me know.
