New 2018 SLX22

Sounds like your at good spot! Glad to hear it’s working out. It’s amazing how just a prop swap can do to a boat!

Amazing difference. Do notice a vibration at idle in gear now though. Was going to try to switch back to hub kit that came with boat. New kit, the plastic hub is a lot shorter. But again, much happier.

Hi guys, new to forum. Just bought my first bennington, 22SLX tritoon, mercury 150xl. My question is speed. After two hour break in, top speed is 31. I was expecting a bit more.
Also. I cant trim motor up at speed anymore then just above full down line on trim gauge.
Is this right?
We just went thru this see if your transom is 20 inch. They had a xl motor on a 20 in transom. . What a mess. 32 mph wot n 4800 rpms.
The cavitation plate was 4 inches below transom in last hole. Also we had an enertia Ss 14p prop. They did swap L motor for XL..

This discussion on trimming has caught my attention - only my second year boating w lots to learn - while very happy w my 20slmxp performance - it will lose speed if I at all trim up off base line - would it be because it’s a smaller boat ? it has a mercury 90 hp / 25” toons and lifting strakes - can’t see getting any more speed - already tops out at 30 MPH ? Ride is great- no nothing about prop / set up etc. though

Mercury has a trim switch which only allows you to trim up so high. Mines disabled.

Thank you

Great looking boat, love that color combination!!

Thank you
