New Bennington CoverDesign?

I received an email today from Bennington announcing what is new for the next year. Once clicking through the new models, Bennington has a video regarding covering your pontoon. The video is based on the snap / J-clip design but the picture has a cover that is attached to the cleat. Does anybody know if Bennington is offering the cleat attachment design? See picture below.

After looking at the pic again, is that AI? Not sure why the ad would mention factory tour.

Don’t know if they used AI, but I didn’t pull it from a random website search. The email regarding the new models included it with the link to the models.
I just checked again and found it.

Not a big deal just curious. I sent it to my local dealer and asked if anything has changed.
 
Thanks Jack. Not a big deal, but appreciate the help. It almost looks like the stretchable cover some members were experimenting with on this forum. (Blue Sky?).
 
I found the same photo. Bennington may have accidentally shown us things to come. Premier pontoons have had this for a couple of years. It is not all positive. Replacing two dozen attachment points with four requires higher force at each corner. Premier uses high force ratchet straps at two corners. The fabric is a bit heavy to withstand the forces. On the plus side the covers can have more universal fit and they can go down the highway.
 
I can't get a close up pic without being fuzzy, but I hope they have allowed room on the cleat for the line to tie up at your dock .
 
I was able to get that email out this evening ,hopefully I get a response on Friday .

I bought this mooring cover for when at the dock. Also use it as a sunshade when on the water just leave front connected to cleats and pull over top the Bimini top. Works fantastic.

Yes, the photo is a real preview of an upcoming product that we expect to release next month.
At this point, the product is designed as a production offering, and we don't currently have a backward-compatible solution outlined. That said, its fairly universal so it should be easy.
I don't have pricing details to share yet, but those should be available when the product officially goes live."

Note the part about backwards compatibility .
 
I like the option. My hope is one could opt for the traditional style cover OR this new 4 corner style cover. If so, that would be a fantastic offering. The newer material mooring covers are much lighter than even the cover I had originally on my 2017 (replaced under warranty 2 years ago). However, I don’t know how their new covers translate into durability (is there a tradeoff for having them lighter weight? I’d assume so).

Now with this corner cleat set up, it does give maybe a great alternative for quicker covering like the Bluesky ones. That said, I wonder if what DVW mentioned above then comes into play…trade off and get a heavier material to be durable to handle the pull pressure…or do they stay light weight, but perhaps not as long term durable due to stresses at corners? I’d love to see one hands on.

You're Welcome. I dont know ,but I'm thinking different cleats for backwards compatibility. The one in the pic looks longer on one side.
