New Bennington Customer...Boat on order (2016 2575 RSB)

Anyone putting a 300 on a pontoon boat might as well check all the boxes for options.

You can't get a raised helm with the bolster seat.
good to know, thank you.  That's what the dealer and I surmised, but wanted to get confirmation.

I am also trying to decide between the electric bimini and the hybrid bimini.  I like the look of the hybrid.  Any thoughts there?

wiredup55, have you confirmed your order yet?  When is your expected delivery date?

I'm about to confirm my order for the same model, same power, what gauges did you order?  I'm going with the Yamaha Touch Screen Information Station, I was told Bennington has only built one so far with it.

Maybe I will see your's when I go for a plant tour in a month or so.

Nice!! I have confirmed, but not sure date yet, suppose to be end of March. I didn't go touch screen, I did the meddli tier, think the command link with DEC. did you do the blackout package as well?

I did not select the blackout package, my salesman pointed out a couple thoughts that made us not want it....  If it gets nicked and coating is chipped it will be difficult to match also stepping on the black anodized aluminium near the ladder with full sun won't feel good on bare feet.  But I love the look of it.

I'm attempting to find out my build status to coordinate a factory tour, with Easter holiday weekend approaching, I might go sometime last week of March or first week of April.

did eliminating the blackout package get you to a price point you were comfortable with?

If I wanted the blackout neither of those suggestions would shy me away from it.

I like the look of the blackout, but not enough that I had to have it, first mate was very against it, so it was easy not getting it.

Upholstery was the great debate, I wanted Glacier White, wife wanted Sandstone, we compromised and selected Ivory Classic with Napa Beige accent with diamond stitched and maple matte trim and full platinum seagrass flooring.

Geez now it all sounds like a hodge podge of colors, oh well.

My "build date" is 3/29, my tour date is 4/1 not sure what that means, but I'll find out.

I'm sure it will be a beautiful boat.  Bennington wouldn't put together junk with mismatched coloring.  My wife was the one who wanted the black out package.  I thought it looked kinda cool but I didn't have to have it.  She ultimately won the decision.  I'm glad I got it now because it makes the boat look much different than all the other pontoons.  I get lots of compliments whenever I take the boat out.  My buddy has a very nice Excursion pontoon and he regularly compliments it as well.  I had a couple of minor scratches on the black rails when I got it and they are easy to remedy with a can a flat black spray paint and a Q-tip.  Blends perfectly.

Did you have swatches to feel the material of the Ivory Classic before ordering it?

We placed our order at the Detroit Boat Show in COBO hall, factory reps were there and both Bennington and Yamaha as well as our dealer made great discounts/offers.  My dealer had several boats on hand, none of them with the colors put together, so we liked this, and that, and that one over there.....  = hodge podge.

Not trying to taint the water but we also chose Ivory Classic and when it was delivered Bennington had changed the material and it's not "soft touch" vinyl.  I'll say we were very dissapointed.  Kinda looks and feels cheaper.  We spent a lot of money and got something different than was expected.  I really hope you have better luck!

wiredup55: have you got your build date?  I was told start to finish in the plant is around 3 days.  My bet is your tritoon will be done next week based on when you ordered compared to when I ordered.  I guess it would take a week to ship to your dealer, another week for the F300 to be installed, and BOOM, your going on your maiden voyage.  I can't wait to hear your experience.

Oh, are you planning on downloading and using the Yamaha app, I was thinking about it for break-in period?

But dude - you have a 300HP on the back of that thing.  You'll crack 50 mph easy.  We had our 250 Yamaha Vmas Sho doing 45 with 4 people on board and a full tank of gas.  You also has ESP - that you'll truely love!  It handles the water better than my Searay 260 Sundeck and lots of room for everyone.

I was told it should be sent my way by end of March, 2 weeks for dealer prep, so I am figuring 3-4 weeks from now. Getting exited as I am sure you are.

wiredup55: I think she is on her way to you.....

I was in Elkhart today, they have a lot of full trailers ready to be delivered.  I had perfect timing to see mine.

Darrigo,

Like you we just picked up our 2575QSB today and went with the Ivory Classic with the Nappa Beige accent and was also completely surprised that the fabric was not the soft touch vinyl as well.   I too think it looks cheaper but will admit it's was everyone was showing this year at the boat show.   My biggest concern is how clean it will stay, and how easy will it be to clean.   Have you had to clean your fabric yet or know of anyone who has had to clean this type of fabric and if so what works the best?

303 products seem to be the choice by most on this forum.  I wipe down my seats  most every weekend only takes a few minutes and I don't mind doing it.  I am a believer that the sun is probably your worst enemy and I believe that the UV blocker is important.  My seats on a 2012 look showroom new.
