New owner questions

Just purchased an S1SR w/ Yamaha 200, SPS performance, and a few other goodies. Really excited to get out on the water before late fall hits.
1. What fenders do folks seem to gravitate to - we have always used Taylor Made on other boats but this is our 1st tritoon. Will three suffice or do we need a couple for the bow rail?
2. We will take delivery in October so any pertinent question/observations that would help us is appreciated.

We carry four big (about 8" X 20") inflatable Taylor fenders and use them to tie up with friends frequently. Two on each side suffice. Those are our main fenders. I always have three or four smaller ones on board for special situations but rarely use them.

If you're going to tie up to high end fancy fiberglass boats, get fabric fender covers. We have tied to boats that the custom paint job cost more than my boat so we don't want to put a hard vinyl fender between our boat and theirs.

It's a floating rectangle so 4 is plenty. As far as bow or stern in a slip, I have a problem with the bow lifting eyes chewing up the dock rub rail but not sure how to prevent this. I'll just buy the marina a new strip when I move out.

The "standard" cylinder shape offers great / best(?) protection, but often the docks on our lake are right at 8'. So I ended up with a second set of rectangular fenders, those have worked fine. I looked up inflatable bumpers - those are impressive Sundog! Though with an equally impressive price - but ideal for tie ups to non-pontoon boats! Great, new item on the list....
