I have a 2014 SF 22. THe last hurricane here in FL just decimated my seats. I want to replace with Bennington seats. My cover and boot was also ruined. Has anyone had an issue with local Bennington dealer saying your boat is too old? I don’t think 2014,2015, 2016, etc have changed if at all. I just need the seats that will fit. SFS are still the same pontoon footprint. I find my dealer to be very uncooperative. Doesn’t really try to help me out at all. Any ideas on how I can get Bennington seats?

Thanks

Greatlakesskipper.com has some Bennington OEM parts. Seats I dont know.
Your post is the second post today looking for seats .

Search for other dealers, but cross-reference their rating (if you are looking for Labor and Parts). However, I suspect finding a used Pontoon will be cheaper than new seats from Bennington. IF you are just looking for seat cushions (vs the entire system), then a local canvas / upholstery shop would be the right move.

pontoon stuff might be able to help and replicate your bennington layout

If you want to think outside the box here is an idea that has worked well for our boat up north. I replaced the overstuffed pontoon furniture with stackable patio furniture (see photo). With the ergonomic shape and arm rest the seating is more comfortable than the seats on our Bennington. It does not stain like Semtex, nor does it need to be covered. I stack two high for the captains seat and configure the remaining for the occasion.1774920497587.jpeg

In the defense of Bennington and the dealer, boats are not like cars. There is not an aftermarket for Brand specific boat parts like seats, trim parts, decals, windshields. It is just the way that industry works. The factory only has availably of past model parts for a limited time. I also believe that Bennington does not warehouse old parts, they depend on the old OEM stock in their suppliers warehouses and when gone it is gone. I can get every part needed for my 2008 Mercrusier 350 but there have been no parts available for the 2008 2575 RCW. You have to get creative to repair a boat that is out of warranty.

Bennington can make any bench seat cover if they have your schematic on file. I was told this by a dealer. Custom jobs
