Hey everyone,

Based on input from some of you and from friends and family I emailed my dealer to make some changes to my build.  I ordered the boat on April 1st (Friday) and have not received a build date yet.  The dealer replied back and said that everything is locked in now and nothing can be changed.  Based on what I've read here on the forums some of you were able to make changes up until the build date was set or 2 weeks from the build date.

It seems odd that they wouldn't allow changes when the anticipated delivery is 8 weeks out.

Thanks,

Josh

Ask him to check with his regional rep. It can be done.

Yeah I haven't heard of this before. Get with someone else at the dealer if needed. I'm sure Bennington doesn't even have the order in the system yet.

What changes?

What changes?

- Kicker Speaker Upgrade
- Lifting Strakes
- Blue Ice LED Cupholder Lights
- Blue Ice console swap
- Adjustable pedestal helm seat
- Sharkhide

Was also wanting him to look into whether the KMC10 unit was available on the SSRX's - Noted some models for sale online have this feature but it isn't available in the bennington boat builder.

There is a place on Bennington's website where you can send a message to them. If the dealer insists no, it can't hurt to see what Customer Service can do for you.

I changed my order on both of my Bennington's

Best of luck Jando, those are some worthwhile changes

If you're dealer isn't helping, I'd go directly to Bennington.

Give the dealer one more chance, since you will have to work with him on any issues going forward, but tell your dealer on a purchase of this amount, you will have no choice but to check it out with the factory.

Good luck.

It's quite possible that the lock in date was reached for his "delivery" slot, but those items don't look like items that would require special lead time. I'd follow above advice and try again ..... maybe hint about the "forum input" as I don't think some dealers realize how much info is found on here.......

I made a couple of changes to my order weeks before it was scheduled for build and it wasn't a problem.

Thanks everyone, I reached back out to dealer and he was checking with his regional rep (who is on vacation) but running it up the flagpole to the regional's boss.  I'm sure they'll help me out.

I know I am late to the party with this post but...

I took delivery of my last week. I put down my 20% deposit for the factory order in late December.

Between then and now, I probably changed the order three times.

Hi All,

Apologies for not updating with the result.  I was able to change the order after giving the dealer some advice from this forum.  As Seaduced mentions, there was indeed a lady at Bennington that made the changes to the order.

Thanks for the advice.

Josh
