Not sure why pontoon boating wasn't in Mercury's marketing strategy during this time period, but these are fun to watch.

What a great reminder of the days past! I wasn't born till 1974 but one thing I can tell you is you wont see a commercial like that unless you're watching a specialty channel! 
 
Some are pretty rough with their boats/motors! 
 
Those things had more "real" chrome than new cars have now days ..... 
 
Only if I'm hunting alligators in the swamps! Then I'll have to bounce over a few beaver dams every once in a while. Got a pretty good dent in one of min toons a couple of weeks ago, doing that.
