Hello all!

I come as a humble new member from a very vibrant and active jetboaters.net jetboat forum.

It was time to move on from the bowrider jet platform to a pontoon. We are planning to close on a 2019 Bennington SX 23 SSBXP this weekend.

I’m looking forward to learning from everyone the best tips and tricks to improve our experience.

Thanks in advance!
Mark

Welcome. If you are like most of us, you will love pontoon life. The only problem is that they keep making them nicer and more powerful each year making us want the latest model.

Welcome to our group. Great place for Bennington owners! We basically have the 2017 version of the boat you are looking at purchasing. Ours is a 2017 24’ SSBXP SPS hull w/ 200Hp Mercury Verado motor. What hull and motor is on the one you are looking at?

Like our boat a lot. It offered a lot for the price when we ordered it in the winter of 2016. Hopefully you will like the transition from your former jet boat to pontoon life. They do offer A LOT of flexibility for usage and guests.

Thank you so much! It’s 25’ length, I assume SPS hull with the Yamaha VMax 250 motor.

My dealer made a warranty claim with Bennington and it’s going to get a complete tear down over the winter, replacing the wood and new seagrass flooring.

We are going to close on the boat a little later this morning. Wish us luck!

We bought a 2023 Tritoon 25ft RX Sport with a 425 Yamaha XTO Offshore. A dealership was selling it on consignment. They did give us a print out of specs but no definitive on gas tank size. HID is ETWN4113L223. Can anyone help us out with this or send a link as to how to find out this information?

You can call Bennington 888 906 2628. They will ask for your Hull ID.

The gas tank capacity should be stamped on a specification plate on the top of the tank. Accessing the tank varies by model. On my R23, there is a round access cover under the swingback. On my former 2275 GCW, you could pull up the backrest of the port stern lounger and see the top of the tank.

welcome to the forum. I'm sure your gonna love the pontoon life. For me, I was just the opposite. I ended up going from a Bennington for 13 years to the jet boat life due to water level conditions and other reasons with water sports etc. What jet boat did you have? Just curious. I am also very active on Jetboaters.net.

Post pics when you get your new Benny and good luck with it :-)
