Not on the water yet but it's in the drive

Tig Tech just replied to me email:

Thanks for your email. The total cost for the bracket and pole is $300 per set plus shipping. I'm not sure how much information you have from the forum, but the poles are made in America of 100% US materials. They are stainless steel so they are considerably more durable than others. Essentially, it's the same pole we made for Cobalt (although they now import from overseas) only at a length suitable for a pontoon. We do have many Cobalt dealers that prefer the higher quality pole and now order directly from us. As of right now, we don't have any dealers carrying the pontoon poles and are happy to sell directly to individuals.

We have been putting 3 eyelets on the pontoon poles. The first 2 fit a standard 16x24 flag (which we do have) and with the additon of the 3rd eylet you can fly a 2ft x 3ft flag if you so choose. I can get you a shipping estimate tonight so you will have an idea of total cost to you. Please feel free to call or email with any other questions you might have.

WOW! $300.00 for a flagpole? A little rich for me.

Yes it is but that's also with that mount.  I really need to relocate my flag over to that port railing so that it is completely out of the way so I'll still probably end up getting it unless someone out there knows of a cheaper set up.

My dealer ordered me the American Flag with pole setup from Bennington.  I feel that it is a much better quality than the ones I looked at West Marine.  The Flag is 2' x 3' and if I remember right I paid $129

That's exactly what I have as well but I doubt it's going to fit into this new flag holder bracket from Tig Tech.

I'm a big fan of flying our colors on any boat that I've had and my new Benny is no exception.

I opted for their (Bennington's) pole and base. Saw one installed when I was selecting options and felt that it was beefy and well worth the money. It's also a dealer installed item so anyone could probably order it and have their dealer install it without a lot of fuss.

Does Bennington make a flag pole base that fits on the side like that Tig Tech one?

The Bennington is designed to lay on a flat surface and the pole goes into the boot and a spring pin holds it in place.  I would have to measure the base and pay attention to the screw holes but my boat is an hour away.  Perhaps someone with the Bennington flag that has their boat nearby could take a look.  There is a decent picture of the flag and pole in the "Build your Boat"

I have that same one already. It's located behind the rear boarding door on the floor. I thought you meant Bennington also sold one like Tig Tech.

Nice rig. Mine is far from seeing get the light of day. We here in west Michigan have close to 30 inches of ice on our lakes, and Lake Michigan still has quite a bit as well. As soon as it comes out, it goes to the dealer for an express tube.

The $300 flag pole is exactly why I'm trying to retrofit a 18 ft 2.57 dim flag pole into my ski pylon port. If I'm spending that kind of money, it's going to be HUGE and usable in the off months!
