After a few phone calls from my Bennington dealer in Tavares Florida to the factory in Michigan, I was convinced to order a 22SSRC instead of a 22SF. Both were going to be modified to get me 2 fishing chairs up front and none intherear, but the 22SSRC gives us more seating in the back of the boat. I still have time to make a few adjustments/additions before the custom drawing is finished for my approval. One of the additions I am considering is adding a front bimini top. Does anyone have a double bimini on an "S" model? My question is, when the front bimini is in the 'down position', does it lay flat across the fence? Or does it sit at a slight angle up at the front of the boat? Can it be raised into a folded position vertically high enough to walk under without being fully deployed? I would very much like the front bimini for when I am not fishing, but if it doesn't lay flat on the fence it might be too much to deal with when fishing...... Does anyone have an opinion about this?

Congrats. I fish off mine a lot and would not want an extra Bimini and frames up front.

I have a double Bimini on my 20 SLG. We never use it. It stays in radar position most times, but we do lay it down along the fence when we do not want it blocking the sun. Can’t access the bow gate when it’s down, though. It also has a trailering position like the aft Bimini.

Wow.... That front bimini lays quite a bit lower than I was led to believe. BUT it also protrudes beyond the front fence more than I would like for fishing... At this point, after talking to a few fishing buddies, I think we will opt not to get the front bimini. Love the pix though..... Showed me exactly what I wanted. I ordered a new JL Audio system today. Hope the Hummingbirds, Ulterra, and Talons get here about the same time as the boat and Audio stuff....

Our double Bimini is probably our favorite option on our boat. Once we put it up it stays up all summer. My wife had a bout with skin cancer a few years ago and shade is what she needs and wants.
