Photos of my new 2575 RSB

Wiredup55 has a very similar Hybrid top as mine. Ours does not fold down for trailering or storage. However I too am curious about the extra bar as mine does not have one in the same location.

Beautiful boat- quick questions on the hybrid top

1. does it fold down easily/quickly to allow daily storage under canapoy lift

2. There is a bar coming off the canapoy that seems to go to the floor being the captains chair. Is this a permanent support or is it just not connected where it is supposed to be?

So, this is a newer version of the hybrid top.   This is no longer a "toy carrier" like they called it before, strictly a bimini top that folds forward vs back onto a arch.  I couldn't get the sport arch with the RSB design, this was the only option.   It folds forward as you can see in this photo:

When it's opened, looks like this:

Once it's folded forward, if you look closely at the first photo, rear support, there is a knob that you can remove and the whole arch looks like it will fold forward for trailering.   The support behind the seat is mandatory, which is why they didn't think it originally would fit on my model, it is removeable, if you were to lower the whole arch forward.   It's pretty cool actually, better than I thought it would be, and provides a lot of coverage when opened.

I too wanted an arch or tower with the rsb layout, but was told I couldn't have it. This seems like an ok alternative- not quite as sporty/ beefy as an arch/tower and no towing from it- but sportier then a standard Bimini.

Does that bar get in the way of the captain chair swiveling and/or act as a trip hazard for passengers? You said it is removable? How does it connect to the floor? Some sort of quick release or does it require tools?

To confirm about folding the whole thing forward for trailering/ storage under boat lift- have you tried to do this yet?

Thanks

Yeah, not as beefy as the sport arch, but not as plain as the normal bimini.  I am pleased with it.  The Bar behind the chair is not a trip hazard, but it does limit the chair from rotating side to side.  You can slide the chair forward and rotate some though, not really a huge issue. I have not lowered the whole arch forward but it looks as though it is designed to if you look close at the photos I posted.   It looks like the bar disconnects with a bolt from the arch, then would fold down on the ground or perhaps be totally removed if you lowered the arch.   I am not trailering it yet, so no need to try it, but if somebody would like me to, I can see how it works.
