Anyone ever tried Booyah Aluminum cleaner ( supposed to be acid free) on their toons. Looking for something other than acid based solutions as pontoon is on a painted trailer and don’t want to damage the paint. Thanks

No, but I have used Super Chrome-it with good results. It's not spray on and wash off. You have to scrub it and remove it with a microfiber cloth, but it will make them pretty again. Takes oxidation right off.

Hi Folks, When we had our fiberglass runabout I became a huge fan of Booyah Hull Cleaner, but was not very impressed with their aluminum cleaner. I recently noticed, however, that they had introduced a Booyah Pontoon Cleaner & Brightener, I tried their new product for the first time yesterday afternoon, and I'm very impressed! My wife was waiting in the car while I covered the boat, so I didn't have time to do a thorough cleaning with a brush. The attached picture just shows a small section where I sprayed the product on as directed and then hosed it off after about five minutes...I can't wait to do the rest of the tubes!

Do your toons have Sharkhide on them ?

Now I'm curious. What year is your boat and have you ever had Sharkhide reapplied? I usually get mine reapplied every other year.

2021. I have not had it reapplied. We bought the boat used in 2022 with about 100 hours on it and it came with the Sharkhide. After two summers of weekend enjoyment, we now have about 180 hours on it. The boat is on the lift all summer long and is stored in a climate controlled garage all winter long.

Thanks, mine is in a slip all season. The reason I asked is that the sharkhide recommend cleaning method is mild soap.

Curious about the Booyah. Not a lot of reviews and a few on Amazon claim it didnt work, not saying it doesn't. The one photo they show of a pontoon is a Regency and I beleive they all have painted logs...
Website states "revunenates & brightens unpainted aluminum" and "SAFE FOR USE ON: un-painted aluminum."

And my question remains . What does it do to Sharkhide ? I guess its time to call Clint at Sharkhide .

Sharkhide office is closed ,message sent in regards to using Booyah Aluminum cleaner on Sharkhide coated toons .

Ill post the reply when received

I'm curious about the Sharkhide as well. I honestly forgot I had it until Jack mentioned it. I do believe that the Booyah is pretty mild, non-acid and doesn't require any PPE...not sure I would drink it!

I just got a reply from Clint at Sharkhide , he is not familiar with the product. Said to call if I still have questions.
