Port Gate Problem

I have a 2013 R22.

For the last 2 years we have had the movable chair in front of the port gate and rarely used the port gate.

We have just moved and the new dock configuration is ideal for using the port gate. The problem is that this port gate is very difficult to open and close. It takes both hands ( 200 # male) at the hinge side to move the gate up and down to open and close it. I have tried some litium white grease but it didn't improve at all.

Any ideas?

Take the hinge apart if you can and stare down the holes and see which piece is bent.

Does it move up part way easily but not the last little bit? Could be mounted too low. You could trim off the gate stop some with a saw.

It's warranty, let your dealer fix it.
