Picking up a brand new 2025 L23 with extended rear deck in a week. The engine is the Mercury Pro XS 150HP. I will be using it on a lake that is 6800' elevation. Dealer thinks a 14 3/4 x 12 4 blade aluminum is the proper pitched prop. I went onto the Mercury prop selector to see what it said. Unfortunately, I could not select the exact gear ratio of 2.08 so I used the 2.00 selection(close enough). It came up with some stainless steel 4 blades with 15" pitch. I believe a 16" pitch would be equivalent in aluminum.

What does everyone thing about this? Does anyone have a similar boat/engine combo that can give me direction? I figure 2 inches of pitch drop for my elevation so even if someone uses their boat at sea level, it would probably be good enough for me to calculate what 6800' would require.

Thanks in advance.

I have a " suggested " prop chart that Bennington provides to dealers. 23 ft with a 150 HP is a 15X15 Enertia. It is also what I previously had on a 23 RCW SA with a 150 .

Thank you for your response. I assume that is for sea level? Do you know where I can download that chart?

Bennington gives them to dealers. A friend of mine previously owned a Bennington dealership .

There is no mention of it being sea level specific. Im in Michigan , it could be possible that different areas get different charts.
