Prop and engine mounting height

My 2021 22sx with sps and 200 Mercury top speed is 38 mph with clean toons, 1/2 tank of fuel and 2 adults. Engine is mounted in top holes (lowest possible mount). Great hole shot, never blows out, Solas14.5 x 15 prop. What would a good prop and mounting height be?

To get yourself close to the right prop you will need engine speed at top speed. Operating condition is also a factor for both prop selection and engine height. With regard to height, During aggressive turns I live with a little prop ventilation for more speed and shallow water operation. The attached photo shows my (so called) anti-cavition plate relative to the water level coming off the hull. The boat picked up speed when I raised the engine. Also note the water level on the hull relative to the static water line. I am proud of that.
