25" shaft is what Bennington shows for a SPS Tube configuration per my previous posts. So you have the right shaft for the toon option. Will do.
I had this pic of the shaft length. The tag on the motor sais 150XL so I assume it's a 25" I don't think there is water in the tubes, but I'll try to check... my boat is still under warranty..
I just don't know what to do.. between the poor speed, but maybe it's normal for this weight.. and loud engine. I am at a loss.
I'd like to change the oil and plugs.. maybe put on my Vengeance 14.5" 15p prop..
Maybe change the oil and plugs...
Would a 200hp merc four stroke be better? I saw someone selling a 200 PRO XS. Will a 200 hp get me alot more?
I can hear some water in the center toon. The outer seem fine. How is the center toon constructed because I don't see any water when I open the floor dooryou can go through these motor performance bulletins and look at mercury 150's with various pontoons (no Benningtons) or the Yamaha 150's spec bulletins (some Bennington's ) with a 150 and make your decisions

I'd still look at water in the tubes with such a large disparity on speed...
What model Bennington? Do. The models vary in weight alot?2019 View attachment 36994View attachment 36995Tritoon with an SPS hull.
When I had water in my starboard toon in my old boat I took it to a marine TIG welder. He drilled a hole in the bottom of the toon and all the water took several minutes to drain out! He then installed a threaded bung hole in case I needed to use it in the future.....Is the center toon built with 3 chambers? Could it be in the front? Is there no plug on the top to drain?
i have flicked it on and off... not sure how long it needs to be on for and where its pumping water. I assume its only for the center storage section. My water sounds like its in the front portion of the center toon. Can you see the bilge pump? whats under the circular plate on the rear deck?Did you turn on your bilge pump, assuming you have one for center toon storage?
I assume since it was a M model, thats a probably a 24 / 25 model year and the test was done in Sept 2024.What model Bennington? Do. The models vary in weight alot?
