Prop Spacer For Reliance SDS Prop

I was just getting ready to order the Yamaha Reliance SDS prop 14-1/2 X 15 and it say that I have to order the prop spacer. Does anyone know if this is necessary? I searched the forums but couldn't find any information. Thank you!

Here is what I found.

NOTE: The new Reliance SDS propellers will backfi t all Yamaha four-stroke engines F150 and above (except V8

models). For those models not equipped with SDS hardware as standard equipment, the special aft spacer will be

needed (6CE-45997-00-00).

Thank you Sir. Looks like I will need it since I just have the aluminum prop.

My F200XA included both a regular spacer and the SDS spacer.

Your dealer probably did not know what what needed so they gave you both!! I only have the sds which was how yamaha shipped the motor.
