Throw moth balls all around the inside and outside of that garage. That keeps many species away. Will even keep squirrels out of fruit trees if you put them in cloths and hand them around the area, that is if you get them up before they get a taste of the fruit, then they just hold their nose while stealing the fruit.

Great idea but how do you get their little legs apart to gather them? Sound like a lot of work! ;-)
