Read this if you are trying to decide between a 115 and 150 HP

2010 model 2250 RCW. 25 to 26 mph with just me and a full tank of gas with the Merc 115. No question for me that motor is not enough if you ever plan any watersports use. When we tube we have always have a full boat. I have to try and limit to 8 people, 6 is really the max and at that I am at wot maybe getting 18 to 19 mph which is really not enough for good tubing. I have to use a tube brand that maximizes the speed we can make and do allot of whipping the boat to create a decent ride. No dealer should sell a 20ft or longer boat with a 115 if the buyer says the may want to tube. I regret not doing the 150, plain and simple it is not enought motor to do anything more than cruise.
