We just picked up our first toon this weekend and love it. Its a 2006 2275, with a 150 Yamaha, and the performance package on the toons. I dont think the prop on the boat is the correct one. The prior owners rarely used the boat and never went fast with it, plus its all dinged up. I would like to get a new prop, possibly go with stainless if that helps at all with top speed. What is the recommended prop for this boat / engine? We boat at sea level, on Lake Havasu, Arizona.

Thanks, Walt

We have a 2275RFSI Tri Toon w/150 we installed a 14.5x15 very pleased w/performance. The Yamaha part #68F45970-00-00.It has good hole speed runs out about 38-40 by GPS.

I would go with the 15 1/4 X 15 factory Yamaha prop in black stainless or aluminum. I have one of each for my 150 and they performed flawlessly on both my 2007 2275 GL triple tube with strakes on both sides of all 3 tubes ran 38-42 mph depending on load and conditions but is a bit much prop for my current 2011 2250 gcw esp with 60 gallon fuel cell, performance is excellent but I am only getting 5400-5500 rpms and 36-38 mph depending on load and conditions. It would be a perfect match for your boat. I just bought a 14.5 X 15 Yamaha stainless Reliance prop to get the rpms up a couple hundred rpms. Will see how well it performs come next spring. :p

Anything in the 15 X 15 range will be ok for your needs.

Our local dealer sold a couple 2275 RCW/GCW boats this summer with the merc verado 200 engines with the 15X15 enertias also. They claim 6000 rpms and 40+ speeds easily.
