Apologies if this is in the wrong forum, first time here . can this livewell set up be removed easily without obvious damage and hours of labor. ? Pic attached.

Related: is there a built in receptacle for the ski pylon? Or what would it take to install one?

There is a built in one. Thus, either you get a pylon at order or purchase, or you do not as it’s built in completely. It’s not something you can just add later.

If your’s doesn’t have one, then look at going with either a ski tow bar or a Turbo Swing. Both of those options can be added after market. The Turbo Swing is easier to add, and is also rated for higher pulling tension than any ski tow bar, so that’s always my 2 cent recommendation in these situations.

We went Turbo Swing instead of pylon or tow bar when we ordered in 2017. It has served us great over the years, and we appreciate its tow rating from a safety and liability perspective.

Hoping someone can give you great inside info from having done something similar. Be patient as this is not an every day question. How extensive it is may come down to what you are trying to do once it’s gone. What’s the goal or vision in removing it? Maybe that helps guide some input.

We went with a ski tow bar on my current setup. Last pontoon had the pylon that the dealer added for $1,000 5 years ago. I liked the look of the pylon better and initially appreciated that it was removable. However, it was heavy and kind of a pain for me to carry to my boat from the storage shed. The ski tow bar is nice as it doesn’t take up any deck space, I can mount items on it such as a flag / fishing rods, and for me I can hold on to it if needed. Just my 2 cents for what it is worth.

Which ski tow bar did you buy? I have a new SSR20 without a pylon and am looking at something like you have or possibly a Turbo swing

It was a Bennington provided ski tow bar from the factory. It was identified as item #904347 on my “build sheet” provided by the Bennington Dealer. It is somewhat square - they had another version that IMO had more style and was curved versus right angles but mine was already installed and the package price was heavily discounted.
