Am having to replace a broken kill switch on a New 22' SV - guess it's a known issue these things break. Received a new one from Bennington and it has 4 connection points (blade style). The original version had a direct wire input that appears to be molded the switch (no visible connectors). No instructions came with the switch - anyone know which 2 of the 4 connection points I'm to use? Thx!

Known issue? To whom? News around here… That said, it would be under warranty. Unless you broke it, should be a warranty issue. Why not just have the dealership take care of it under warranty?

I will defer to someone that can address the question asked though.

Take it to the dealer . Kill switch is part of the rigging

Thanks Jeff. Yeah, unfortunately it's a situation where I'm 2 hours from the dealer and no trailer (dealer delivered boat at n/c). Can do it, just a PITN. Agree, it's a warranty matter.

Thanks Jack. Not a fan of Bennington's like I thought I would be - only been on the water since May (25 hours on motor). Broken kill switch (took 2 months to get the replacement), ladder strap holder that won't open (pulled grommet out), sagging helm door (still waiting on parts for the kit to fix it), front door that won't stay closed (can't adjust the door height but was able to put several plastic shims under the floor door "latch"). Feels like I'm buying a camper the factory cranked out during Covid). I chose Bennington for quality and strong warranty. That said, maybe my expectations need to be reset.

Yeah, a 2 hour trip and no trailer will put a wrinkle in it. The kill switch is part of dealership rigging, so it would be interesting to know if it was an actual faulty switch, or just poorly rigged by the dealership. It certainly isn’t a problem we typically hear about.

Also saw some of the other items you reported above separately. These too are not typical, and I can appreciate the frustration in having to deal with them on a newer boat. Has the dealership been able to provide some insights on resolution to these items?

Seeing you bought the boat from them and have all these warranty issues I think a stand up dealer would comp another pick up and delivery for a 25 hours boat.....
