Rodents

Hopefully no issues for you. Be sure to check though when you open it up. Ours is outside also and everything looked fine until I opened it. Cover was ok and the chewed holes were inside where the top met the curves on both ends. I have used moth balls and dryer sheets in all the boats I've had and that was the first time any problem. I had not put any into the boot until this year after it was damaged last year. Pictures of damage in my gallery if interested.
I checkout out your gallery, thankfully it wasn't any worse. I will definitely be going through my boat from top to bottom before she hits the water this year. Clean up anything I missed and I think I am gonna add a fish finder and maybe a light kit before season too.

I didn't see any indication of rodents when I was in there the other day, but will know more later.

I dislike the smell of mothballs so i don't use them and go heavy on the dryer sheets
Hahaha! That's the reason why the critters stay out Mark!

When you take the playpen cover off it airs out pretty quick!

I use the scented mothballs. Plain smell like mouse crap.

Right! Those critters don't like the smell either. Now, if you put some peanut butter flavored moth balls in there, You'd like the smell, and the critters would love to join you for your hospitable aromas. :D

All good to go, just some spring cleaning. You can clean before storage, but it seems there is still cleaning after even.

I also did look at your gallery, that rough, thankfully not too bad though. Could have been worse for sure.

Canvas shop did a nice job on the repairs - the sandwiched patches inside and out are barely noticeable on the black top - and the holes were oddly symmetrical on the port and starboard sides. Only charged me $35 to fix. Very thankful it wasn't worse.

I store mine in my building, I put a roll of toilet paper on the floor somewhere in the middle of the of the boat and in my fifthwheel and then just take a look at the rolls every week. If they are not chewed then I know there is no critters.

No mothballs or dryer sheets

I used poison boxes at all four corners the first year, must of help bring them to the party!! got a small bit of foam under the helm seat and stored the poison up in there too. As for the bimini.... that's when I started to cry, 4 holes later and a few tissues I cleaned up the all the stored poison. Parked the boat in the same place this year, put some  smelly bags from ace in there and it been clean all winter. waited all summer for the new top so I'm going to just put it on in a few weeks.
