RSR fastback windscreen dual console

So I've been struggling with making a final decision on the new boat. Looking real hard at the rsbw. First off, coming from a bow rider, we have decided on a windscreen model for looks and functionality as we boat in upstate ny where nights are chilly and season is short. Negatives for me for rsbw is the lack if seating, where the dual console takes away the whole L shaped lounger especially if I didn't want the safety bar ( takes away from openness) in the back and no one could ride in the back and the other was negative no tower option. Only other windscreen option was rcw windscreen but I wasn't sure about only having the 2 rear loungers. I like the new rsr fastback as the rear layout allows for backwards facing lounging and normal communal sitting, plus I dig the speaker setup and look of the back when chilling in the water. Told the wife over the weekend after looking at a showroom rsr fastback tower that if this model came with a windscreen it would be my perfect setup....I'd have the  Dual console/windscreen, still plenty of rear seating and/or ability to sit backwards similar to rcw/rsb, arch, rear speakers.


Long story longer - this prompted me to PM team bennington today to ask if by chance they would be releasing the rsr fastback with windscreen in 2017. If not, I would go with the rsbw. To my surprise they responded very quickly and even better said yes, 2017 will have a fastback rsr windscreen with optional tower! I have to wait another year, but at least I will end up getting the perfect layout for me.... Just thought if share news of this new model in case anyone was in a similar situation.

I have not seen a windscreen model in person but looking at some of the brochures, I would have to question the functionality of it. To me, the screen looks very low to the point that someone sitting behind it would have to duck down to see any benefit. So a question for my windscreen friends out there, is that true?
