Fire destroys Thayer Marine in Jackson, U.S. 127 remains closed

The family-owned boat dealership in Summit Township was evacuated safely, but the structure will likely be declared a total loss after Wednesday's fire.

Very sad, I bought my first Bennington from Thayer Marine back in 2000. Of course that was at the old location.

So sad. They’re technically the closest Bennington dealer to our family home downstate. About 45 minutes from us down there.
