I ordered everything I need to service this Yamaha 150, I have oil change, water pump impeller, thermostat, lower oil change, plugs, fuel filter, all new zinc's, and plan on doing the timing belt once I dig into it. Is there anything else I should pay attention to? The motor has 850 hrs on it, but runs like a top. I pulled a printout on it and it shows half them hours where at low rpm's. From everything I've read, these engine are in it for the long haul and can go 3000-5000 hrs. I hope mine feels the same way.

Get your service manual for comprehensive schedule and repair steps, I think paid $75 for mine? Just make sure you service ALL of the fuel filters including the F filter and VST on the engine block, those can gum up over time and cause issues.

Pump service should not only be the impeller but the housing and gasket as well, the kit has all you need. Might want to check the condition of your shaft key as well, those can be beat up and corroded over time making subsequent removal a real PITA.

Lastly maybe send off your oil to Blackstone for analysis and check for metal? Pressure test your lower unit to make sure seals are still good? It's a little overboard but if you really want peace of mind to get many thousands of hours...
