The approved cleaners link in the url no longer works. Is there an updated web link to the manufacturer instructions?

Do people find that stains actually come out of their simtex?

I have a 2024 with white simtex - and there are all kinds of little black dots, streaks, yellow spots - I'm presuming these are all some combination of dirt and bug guts - but I can't get any of them out with anything. Dawn, 303, 409, diluted bleach etc. One of the reasons I got a bennington was supposedly the ease of simtex - but man am I not impressed.

Be advised the following is not approved by the Simtex manufacturer, but it works. If damage occurs to your seat, your warranty may be denied. Proceed at your own risk.

Cover all surfaces of one dry seat with Marine 31, give it a couple of minutes to do its thing then and scrub with a soft to medium bristle brush in a circular motion. Rinse thoroughly. Then mix about a half cup of Ivory Liquid in a gallon or two of water. Scrub all surfaces. This is mainly to get rid of any remnants of the Marine 31. Rinse very thoroughly. Seats look like new.

Which Marine 31 product? I use their products and have been very happy.

Marine 31 Mildew Stain Remover & Cleaner. Don't get the gel. I made the mistake of buying a gallon of that and it does not spread out so it is a pain to use for seats.

I also used the mildew protectant and it work well.

Friends used "30 Second Cleaner" on our old boat, which had significant mildew stains. Not any longer! Looks like new again. The product does apparently contain bleach and they rinse it well after letting it sit on the surface briefly. It's a "science project" every fall when they return (to Florida) and they have cleaned it perhaps half a dozen times already. Granted, this is traditional legacy vinyl, but it sure works well! It would probably be OK on our SimTek, but I have not been brave enough to try it. Ours has some stains from spider and lizard poop that I wish we could remove better. Only tried Dawn and a bristle brush so far.
