Simtex Seat Stain

My 2018 Bennington Pontoon (I'm the only owner and it has been well taken care of) got some mold on the seats and I had it professionally cleaned and they said it is stained. The mold is gone but the stain is still there. Not sure how they even molded doesn't make a sense to me. Any suggestions for the stains? Still under warranty but I doubt that would be covered.

Stains might be from sunscreen. Mold is not uncommon. Need good air circulation.

Pictures? I’d read your warranty and talk to your dealer. I honestly don’t recall anyone on this site saying their Simtex had been stained.

I would follow the simtex cleaning directions. I would bet the professional didn’t. When done it still may look hopeless but a day or two in sun and it’s gone. Amazing stuff. I need clothes made out of it.

Can you post cleaning for the floors?

The only thing I have seen on floors is no power washer . I don't remember where I saw that . I'm sure someone else may have something.

Is it a stain or can it be removed easily ? I had a pollen issue last year . Due to the way the covers are now when it rained the pollen ran down the floor .

I used korkays rv and black streak remover on mine. Night and day difference. I had so many stains and spots i couldn't get up with everything that was recommended

I screwed up and hijacked thread with my own woes. This thread should stay seat stain and I will start a new thread with floor stains tomorrow.
I have some different floor cleaners will attack it tomorrow.

I used Miracle Mist on my seats but please wear gloves!! I lost skin on the tip of one finger. (My boat is a 2016 and no longer under warranty so no risk there). The Miracle Mist cleaned stains/mold/etc that no other product cleaned. It smells very bleachy.

Make sure you rinse really well. The bleach will attack the stitching.

Echoing the “rinse really well” concern. A very common problem with marine upholster failure is stitching due to bleach type products used in cleaning. It can be a tough lesson for some when their upholster begins unraveling and the older upholster cannot be restitched due to its condition. Such a catch 22 since those products eliminate the initial problem so effectively (stains and what not).

Agreed! I made every effort to avoid spraying on or near the stitching, I was surprised at the results and now use this Miracle Mist on hard water stains on shower doors etc. It works well but is VERY strong.
