Sound upgrades 22ssrx

I have a 2016 22ssrx and have the Kicker speaker upgrade, with factory Sony stereo. Installed from factory are 2 Kicker 6 in speakers in foot well of  front bunks and 1 in lower helm area and 1 in lower area by passenger seat. Like the way they sound but not much sound can be heard from the rear seats.


Can 2-4 additional Kicker 6 in rounds be installed in foot well area of rear bunks?


Would I need a amplifier for the additional speakers?

Hey Scotty1, I've got the basic Kicker radio which came with six 6" speakers including two in the stern. I know you have the Sony but my guess is that you could add two more without an amplifier. However, we have some radio-heads on this board who will undoubtedly chime in with the correct answer. Good luck...

The more speakers you add without an amp, the worse it will sound.

I bumped up my stock speakers to Polks and the stereo to the "mega bass" one in the following linked thread and it's pretty decent..next step would be sub-woofer and amps but I don't feel like going there, at least not yet.
