So I know this MOD is not for everyone. I have a unique situation where I can work semi remote. If I can keep in contact and put small fires out I can be out in the water rather then behind a desk. So I have Starlink at home. Starlink was running an offer where they gave you a Starlink Mini for Free, and you could activate it for $10 a month. Ok Yes Please. I got it in Jan. We just installed it last month and it’s working great. I was powering it with a simple inverter 10 min install and I was in business. Well it’s been working great and decided to install it for a more permanent installation. When I ordered a 12 V to 30 V converter, it offered quite a lot of static or interference to the stereo system. Turns out that when you tap into the stock power supply there’s quite a lot of feedback. I found that when connecting directly to the battery all the static or feedback was gone, so I needed to come up with a solution where I got clean power that would not affect the system and this is what I came up with. I found a Carlisle rocker switch on Amazon and tapped into the Boat accessorie switch. So now this dash switch turns on the Starlink and the master switch turns everything off.
