Been pulling mine with the 2000 F-250 with the 7.3 PSD. Upgraded recently to the 2017 F-250 6.7 PSD. I’m loving the upgrade.

My Tundra pulls my RL210 effortlessly, here in East Tn you can't go anywhere without crossing a mountain.

My 2002 Tundra struggles a bit with our 2018 22SSXAPG with its Yamaha 150. Will eventually need something newer and more powerful. Watching here for ideas.

If your a Toyota fan go drive a gen 2 or 3 Tundra with the 5.7, It's night and day from the gen 1 4.7. Not sure of the weight comparison from the Bennington glass deck boat vs pontoon but I have zero problems pulling my glass RL.

I have pulled ours with a 2016 Toyota sequoia and it does fine. We plan to trailer to the beach several times this year and feel confident it will get it done.

I fish a decent amount. My buddies and I took a 2019 tundra crew max in tow/haul mode with the cruise control set at 78. Drove for 3 hours to Detroit, to fish for walleye. Every single semi truck we passed the Tundra struggled. Dropped down a few gears and darn near redlines the motor. It always seems to be working pretty hard whether I'm pulling a bass boat, center console, or the pictured aluminum lund. I understand gearing matters but his AT4 on the same trip the next weekend, was night and day different, soo much nicer..

I love my Tundra, best truck I have ever owned, but it just doesn't compare to the GMC. Toyota has produced the same truck since 2015. They slapped led headlights on it, some new safety stuff, adaptive cruise control, and raised the price every year and still bass fisherman like me bought them. If you went to a bass tournament 4yrs ago 80% pulled their rig with a tundra pickup. Those same parking lots are filled with GM and Ford now.

Just for fun....

Mine definitely has the muscle to pull whatever I put behind it. 4WD, 440 HP and 1000+ FP torque. 8000# truck will break back wheels loose if you punch it at 30MPH. Punch it at 60 MPH on wet roads, and you better have a grip on the wheel and nerves of titanium because the rear tires are gonna start spinning. All of that is after the traction control and advanced traction control is deactivated and the sport mode is engaged.

Just ordered a black 2021 Ford F150 Powerboost Lariat 4x4 hybrid with a 3.5 twin turbo that has 430hp 570 ft lbs torque that has EPA mileage numbers of 24 city, 24 highway, and 24 combined! 0-60 in 5.3 seconds and dash looks like a 747 cockpit! Faster than 2020 Raptor! Pretty fast for a 6,000 lb stock truck that gets good mileage. Oh, and it has a 7200 watt 110/240 VAC built in inverter generator that can put out full pure sign wave power for 32 hours on a full tank of fuel. Makes my 2019 Ram Rebel hemi seem underpowered. Love it but crappy mileage. Check out Youtube on Ford Powerboost trucks. Should pull my Benny super easy.

Sorry just can’t resist. Read an article little while back and learned, and I have also observed that the truck of choice of the professional RV delivery folks is well, the 2500 Ram with a Cummins. The Aisin transmission has been a game changer. My last 2005 Ram had well over 200,000 miles on it which 150,000 miles was put on it towing fema trailers in 2007/08. It is still in service pulling various size trailers between Tucson AZ and International Falls MN. My new ride is a 2020 3500 with the Aisin transmission its an awesome truck. As I have said before I can and do put our Tritoon in the water with my Durango. It’s only a mile drive to the ramp. But if I need to go farther there in no question which tool I will use. Safety first.
